Drum Rudiments and custom Pads

Hello hereafter drummers! The first thing I need to suggest to a newbie is rudiments. These are the foundation of all drumming techniques. When it comes to studying drums, it pays to brush up on the basics first and get a solid grounding on them rather than rush on to what seems to you as the cool stuff of drum playing. If you learn in haste, trust me, you will someday be regretting that you did not take the time to become a specialist at the basics! After all, without properly established techniques, you will only end up playing anything and all things poorly.

Any great drummer you see is a specialist with rudiments. They have spent hours upon hours on there practice pad practicing there rudiment lessons. You can not pull off any cool roll combinations if you do not have the stick operate needed to do the job. And now that I have mentioned the practice pad, lets talk about that real quick. The practice pad is a splendid and cheap piece of equipment that will help you in so many ways. First off it is not near as loud as practicing on your snare drum, and that will make your hours of practicing much more tolerable to the rest of the family.

Also the great thing about a practice pad is you can get one while you are recovery up your money for your first drum kit. That way you will be well ahead of the curve by the time you get your kit, and the practice pad is something drummers will always use long after they get there kit. Hey I will sit in front of the Tv sometimes and work on my stick operate while checking out a ball game! Drum practice pads are widely available at music stores and on the internet.

Some practice pads even have found prints, and some come in five-piece kits but I would not suggest that. Do not spend all that money when all you need is the basic snare pad. Also you are recovery your money for your drum kit. You also have the option to get a practice pad stand to go along with your pad and your "throne". Your throne should ideally be cushioned and adjustable. Now for heavens sake, get the pad and stand but do not worry about the drummers throne until you get your kit, just use a chair.

And now in closing I just want to say, you have the desire to play one of the most rewarding and fun instruments in the world, but you also want to learn to play it correctly. So please take my advice and start your journey from the start and do not miss any steps along the way, be inpatient and be consistent in your practicing. Understand that the lessons and sometimes tedious drills are a indispensable step to reach your ultimate goal of becoming an complete well trained drummer.
